Juror: Debra Goertz.

Debra Goertz is an Associate Professor at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Art where she chairs the Foundations Department and teaches 2-dimensional Design and Drawing. She is also a part-time Assistant Professor of Drawing at Parsons the New School of Design in New York.

She is represented by Stricoff Fine Art in New York where she has had solo and group exhibitions, her next two-person exhibition opening in April of 2012.  Her paintings have been exhibited at art fairs in Berlin, Amsterdam, Chicago, Toronto and Miami. Debra maintains a studio in Brooklyn, NY. Her work can be seen on her website: www.debragoertz.com.

Juror: Susan Cross, Curator, Mass MOCA.    

Susan Cross has been a curator at MASS MoCA since 2006.  Cross has worked with a range of emerging and established international artists, including Michael Beutler, Patty Chang, Lucy Raven, Tobias Putrih, Simon Starling, Alyson Shotz, and Erik van Lieshout, among others, many of whom have made new work for the museum. She recently organized The Workers, an exhibition which examines contemporary conditions of labor through the eyes of twenty five international artists and film makers. 

Before moving to North Adams, Cross was a curator at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. 

Cross has a B.A. in art history from the University of Virginia and a Masters degree from the Williams College Graduate Program in the History of Art.  She has been a visiting lecturer in the Williams College Graduate Program.

Best of Show award is $1.000 cash prize plus a one person exhibit in the 2012 calendar year.
