Join us for an enchanting evening! West Hartford Art League’s Spring Into Art! Gala will be held on Thursday, May 21, from 6 to 9 PM.

This gala is a vibrant celebration of creativity and community, dedicated to supporting the arts in our area. Your participation helps fund exhibitions, educational programs, and outreach initiatives that benefit artists and audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Tickets are $75 per person.

This soiree will feature heavy hors d'oeuvres, spring-inspired cocktails, live painting and lively conversation about the arts!

When purchasing your tickets, add on a 1-color watercolor portrait on 11” x 15” paper by Antony Zito for $50! Antony will paint quick, on-the-spot, 1-color watercolor portraits on 11” x 15” paper in roughly 7 minutes for the price of $50 per person. Double portraits can be made for $100.

These pieces are not caricatures, but fast realistic portraits. The paintings will be created from live sittings only. Work from photos can be ordered at the artist’s usual price of $350. "Zito is one of my very favorite New York artists, partly because he thinks of himself as an artisan (he likes to make paintings on commission) and partly because he's just a really fine and inventive painter. I have two of his paintings, one is a portrait of Lee Marvin (from "Coffee and Cigarettes") and one of the Ethiopian master musician Mulatu Astatke (from "Broken Flowers"). I value them greatly.
